My First Imagine Project ; An Easy Gift Idea

I covered a fireplace match Box with paper printed with my Imagine. The striped paper is Imaginesce. The phrase, tag and trees are from Winter Frolic colored with the Imagine cart Frosty. I used a border punch from EK Sucess for the lace look edge. Red stickles for the glitter accents. And a pretty red bow to finish it off. This is my entry for the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge.

Two Turtle Doves

This is my entry for the Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge. I so hijacked PC with this one. I made my own "snowflake flowers" designing the quilling flowers on my gypsy, cutting them on the Cricut and using the PC Quilling tool to wind them . I used spray adhesive and glittered them. The turtle-doves were fun to make and dress -up!! The challenge was to make a gift box or bag with one of the templates on the cartridges. There must be at least 4 cricut cuts used. My papers are from Wintertime by Echo Park Paper Company.

An Ornament for my Mom and Dad!

This is an ornament from the discount bin at Canadian Tire. It is glass and about 5" across. I used my gypsy to design the name and frame. I then cut the black vinyl on my cricut. I used double sided tape to apply the glitter in circles and strips.I also put crystals around the frame! Thanks for checking out my blog!

November Circle Challenge

The challenge this month was to make a home decor item that included at least one Cricut cut, an addition of something made with another PC product such as the Yudu, Your Story, Cuttlebug etc. Also to use felt and the color green. Here is my entry for the challenge.

The frame is from a discount store. It has ribbed - glass mat so you see the stand through the glass...don't like that so well for photographing.
I cut vinyl on my Cricut using the Heritage cart for the word "Family" at 1.75". The frame in green and black shadow were cut using the Cricut and the Christmas Cards cart at 4.5" x 5". The flowers are made with the new Cuttlebug Quilling sets, I loved using these sets...so fun and the possibilities are endless!! I sprayed the flowers with adhesive and glittered them. The leaves were cut in black felt using the leaf dies from the Quilling set..I had to shim up the stack with a bit of paper to cut the felt right through but the cuts are very crisp!! I added a metal stip from MM that I alcohol inked (Tim Holtz) using the colors Black and Lettuce. I used tulle and ribbon to drape the frame. I love how my project turned out. The people in the picture are my handsome son, John and his beautiful girlfriend, Alicia.

Printer's Tray finally finished.

I have not been posting much lately as I've been so busy. I finally finished the printer's tray for my neighbours. They have a fishing boat called Ocean Twilight. I spent hours tying and labeling the different knots before I actually started the tray.

The tray was spray painted with antique white matte finish. The metal drawer pull is alcohol inked in blues, red, silver and gold. Each square was done as a separate "picture" with the exception of the photos which were cut to line out in the adjacent squares. Stamps were used for the letters in the title "Ocean Twilight". The circles behind the letters were cut on the Cricut from Simply Sweet and are heat embossed. I used many different techniques for the squares, stamping, heat embossing, outline stickers colored with copics and a lot of different embellies from my stash. The letters in the square saying cod were cut from Printing Press cart on the Cricut. The fish netting was saturated with Mod Podge to stiffen it. The lighthouse, anchor, sea gulls and life ring were cut on the Cricut from Life's a Beach cart. The waves were cut from Wall Decor and More. I nailed cording around the frame with tiny finishing nails.

Birds of a Feather Challenge

This is a birthday card I made for our youngest son who turned 14 today. I chose an owl for this card. Dustin likes the barn owl who lives on our property.

The owl and his layers are from Create a Critter and was cut at 5". I used flowers from Accent Essentials cut at 1.90" folded in half to make his wings. The little leaves are leftover scraps from my leftover cuts box.
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss his layers: Divine swirls on his bottm layer. Mesh texture for his top layer. Swiss dots on his wings.
Stamp is from My Pink Stamper. Papers used also from my scrapbox.

Sharing My Little Secret!!

Have you ever had hard time finding matching ribbon for your projects? Well me too!!
So I came up with this idea. I used a piece of white organza ribbon and stamped it using black Stazon. I let the ink dry for a few minutes. I then took my felt markers..I used copics.Careful not to rub over the stazon ink as this can ruin Copic markers I dabbed carefully with the tip of my Copic pen to color the stamped image and Viola!! When choosing marker colors go quite a bit darker as color is muted. And make sure to stamp and color ribbon over a clear sheet of paper as it goes thru. Have fun stamping your ribbon!!
